Cowgirl Basketball to Play Second Exhibition Game Versus ThunderWolves

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball team will play the last of two exhibition games on Friday, Nov. 6, as they host the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves. The game set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.

Wyoming opened up the exhibition season with a convincing 72-36 victory over the Adams State Grizzlies, on Monday night. They were led by Aubrey Vandiver who finished with 14 points and six rebounds in her 28 minutes of play. She was followed by sophomore Kristen Scheffler with 13 points off the bench, while Hillary Carlson added 12 points and six boards.

The ThunderWolves are 0-1 so far this exhibition season with an 81-59 loss to the Colorado State Rams. They return two starters and eight letterwinners to a team that went 22-9 overall and 13-6 in the RMAC a year ago. CSU-Pueblo is coached by Kip Drown who is in his fourth season with the program and his 22nd overall.

Prices for the game are $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children (ages three through 18). Students with their ID can get in the game for free. For more information, please call the UW Ticket Office at 800-922-9461 or 307-766-4850.

Wyoming will open up regular season play on the road next week. They will take on the Denver Pioneers, on Friday, November 13, before returning home to host the Montana Lady Griz, on Sunday, Nov. 15.
