A Gillette lawmaker says tolls on Interstate 80 may offset costs for expansion and upkeep.
Sen. Michael Von Flatern (R-Gillette) told the trucking trade publication Land Line this week he may renew his tolling push, an idea he initially introduced in 2006.
“We are waiting to see if it is economically viable and will go from there,” Von Flatern told Land Line.
State officials have yet to take the step of filing a petition with the Federal Highway Administration.
