The first major snow storm of the season is expected to drop up to 10 inches of snow on towns throughout Fremont County.
Snow accumulations are expected near the Wind River Mountains and the foothills of Lander and Thermopolis have potential for significant snowfall through Saturday night, said National Weather Service officials.
Snowfall that began mid-morning Friday throughout Fremont County is expected to continue through the weekend resulting in 6-10 inches of snow and a fall in temperatures to the mid teens. Weather officials said temperatures throughout the county will rise back up to the 40s, by Monday, bringing about a sunny Columbus Day.
