NEW YORK (Reuters) - New Orleans Saints starting cornerback Tracy Porter will miss the rest of his rookie season after dislocating his right wrist during Monday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL's television network reported.
Porter, a second-round draft pick out of Indiana who started all five games this season and registered 25 tackles, one sack and an interception, was placed on injured reserve, the NFL Network reported on Tuesday.
Coach Sean Payton told reporters on Tuesday that Porter had needed surgery to repair the injured wrist.
New Orleans fell to 2-3 after the 30-27 defeat by Minnesota.
