Director Erin Shirley of the local Habitat for Humanity organization said local families in need of a house who are earning a median income of $24-$38,000 could qualify for a Habitat Home. She said the Wind River Country chapter is looking for qualifying families for a home in Shoshoni or Pavillion to be built in the spring. Informational meetings are scheduled for both Riverton and Lander – on Oct. 15 at Lander City Hall and Oct. 16 at the Riverton Branch Library. Both meetings start at 7 p.m. Deadline for applications is Nov. 1.
