2 candidates registered their intent to run during the first day for filings Wednesday. They include Betty Grieve of Lander who filed for a seat on the Fremont County Commission as a Republican and John Boulette of Lander who filed for a seat on the Lander City Council, Ward 1.
The Fremont County Clerk’s Office reminds persons seeking partisan elective office that the period to file for the 2008 primary election is between now and May 30th.
Those running for state or federal office must file with the Wyoming Secretary of State office.
Those running for County Commissioner or as party man or woman need to file with the Fremont County Clerk and municipal office candidates need to file with their town or city clerk.
Non-partisan candidates do not need to file until later in the summer.
