Mr. and Mrs. William E. Alexander celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22, 2007 with a reception given by their children and grandchildren at New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Edward and the former Kathlyn Evatt were married Sept. 22, 1957 at New Hope Baptist Church, Seneca, S.C. Rev. Clyde Crenshaw was the officiating minister.
Mr. and Mrs. Alexander have two children Charlsa Laing (Gaylen) of Arlington, Texas and Young Alexander (Wendy) of Forest City, N.C. and six grandchildren Chason Laing (Cassie) of Dallas, Texas; Annie, Caroline and Avery Laing of Arlington, Texas; and Joshua and Adam Alexander of Forest City, N.C.
